Last weekend, I had the opportunity to set up my table at a Juneteenth Festival presented by Black Owned Indy. It was a wonderful experience celebrating our history and culture, and getting to display some artwork. It was great to get out and do some in person networking right in the neighborhood.
I also had the chance to go visit the new Brightwood-Martindale Branch of the library. It is a beautiful space and I love that they filled it with local artists. I think having that type of support is going to be a real blessing in the neighborhood.
Custom “Justice Now” shirts are available for preorder.
Proceeds will benefit the Bail Project, an organization in Indianapolis that helps individuals post bail and be reunited with their loved ones. The inability to post bail is an issue that disproportionately effects black and brown people, especially women. We need our people free and fighting the good fight.
