And, upward and onward along this Scale of Life, everything is moving. All are on the Path, whose end is THE ALL. All progress is a Returning Home. All is Upward and Onward, in spite of all seemingly contradictory appearances. Such is the message of the illumined.
Chapter 7, Paragraph 8 The Kybalion
I’m excited to be making space in my life for more blessings. I am finally starting to feel like I am finding my way. The Indy art community is growing in a way that is really encouraging personally and professionally. Everywhere I go I meet a new dope person and I couldn’t be happier to be exactly where I am. I am firm believer that there is space for everyone in the creative economy; I am grateful to be finding my spaces and my places.
Again, I am super blessed. God is good. This year started rough and the turn-around is real. So much awesome news! I’m so happy that my chest hurts and I am a little overwhelmed. This is my first year as part of Flava Fresh! So dope.

I showed up to a networking thing…proud of me for showing up. I have faith that will get easier. Either way I am putting myself out there.
I showed at the public library again with Gary Gee and a host of other talented artists. The Hip Hop Anthology show is something you should check out every year and should happen forever.
Excited for the work I will get to do at Arts for Lawrence.

I went to the Harrison Center for the first time this month. Originally I went to see the We Are Indy Arts show, but I ended up getting way more than I bargained for (which is how art works generally). Be sure to make an appointment, wear your mask and go see the show.
I am so geeked!!! This artwork is from part of an on-going collaboration between myself and Rooted Scales. I am super excited about our partnership. Rooted Scales is a local, black and woman owned company that produces CBD products for health and wellness.
As a mother, an employee, a wife and an artist, I advocate not only for the whole humanity of others but of myself. One of my goals for this year is to invest more into my own wellbeing. CBD helps me live a more balanced and well adjusted life.

Happy Black History Month. I’m happy that I made it to February 2021. It’s been alot going on.
My New Year started with a flood at my home. Then at the end of the month I wrecked my car. (We are fine. God is good.) Some where along the line, they stormed the Capitol and Cicely Tyson died. Kamala Harris is a win for representation. Joe Biden is president and everyone was dressed in beautiful monochrome.
Make sure to check out these two shows. I’m blessed to be showing work in both. “Localized” celebrates Indy’s 200 year anniversary. And Tiny show is an Indianapolis tradition that is continuing online this year. More information about both shows below.

“My dear, In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love. In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile. In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm. I realized, through it all, that… In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.
Truly yours, Albert Camus”
I started this drawing before I found this quote… It happens like that sometimes. That’s really the mood for 2020 ~ “It happens like that sometimes.”
