Despite disinvestment, Martindale-Brightwood has a rich history of resistance and resilience. The people of the neighborhood continue to inspire through faith and diligent works to protect the assets and culture of the community.
Inspired by interviews with local residents, Fruit & Labor explores the history of Martindale-Brightwood, while encouraging younger residents to assert ownership over their futures.
