Shape is a project using the power of the arts to bring awareness to mental health and substance abuse. The project will include a concert featuring music, dance and story based on information from those impacted by mental health and substance abuse. In addition, the project will feature a juried art show, a community engagement project and educational events. We are working closely with partners and members of the community throughout the planning process. The event is scheduled to take place in April 2025.
I'm honored to be a part of this team. This event is near and dear to my heart; I know from experience what art can do for your mental health. Our team would love to have your support.
1 in 4 adults and 1 in 6 youth experience mental health issues. The arts help build positive emotions and expression of feelings which leads to increased resilience for mental health and substance abuse recovery. By using the power of the arts to bring awareness, Shape encourages those who are experiencing these issues to share and find healing.
Your tax-deductible gift will help make this event memorable and allow the community to have an opportunity to participate. Sponsorship funds will be used for venue rental, production fees and payment for musicians and artists as well as provide free tickets to those in need.
